At Woodlane High School, we believe that exceptional schools have a responsibility to contribute to the wider education system.  As a recognised centre of expertise in SEND, inclusion, curriculum development and school improvement, our leaders and staff regularly share effective practice with schools, local authorities, professional networks and national organisations.  This work supports the development of high-quality provision for children and young people with SEND both locally and nationally.

Our curriculum, teaching approaches, strategic planning and operational policies have been featured extensively by The Key, enabling school leaders across the country to access and learn from Woodlane's practice.  The school's five-year strategic plan, teaching guidance, curriculum resources and anti-bullying approaches have all contributed to professional learning beyond our own setting.

Woodlane actively supports other schools through collaboration, visits and professional dialogue. Leaders have advised schools establishing nurture provision, shared self-evaluation and school improvement processes with special schools outside London, and supported curriculum and qualification development within other settings.  Our expertise is also shared through participation in local authority SEND panels, consultation groups and safeguarding partnerships, helping to strengthen provision and outcomes across the wider education system.

We are committed to developing the next generation of education professionals through trainee placements, university partnerships and opportunities for colleagues from other schools to observe practice in action.  Through these partnerships, we share expertise in SEND, inclusion, behaviour support, therapeutic practice, preparation for adulthood and curriculum delivery.
