The school takes its responsibility to climate change and sustainability seriously and pupils are educated to be responsible citizens and play an active role in improving the world around them.

This Climate Action Plan, (downloadable below) sets out a series of practical and achievable actions that will help our school reduce its environmental impact and contribute to a more sustainable future.

By focusing on four key priority areas, Reduce Waste, Energy and Buildings, Environment and Nature, and Transport the plan provides a clear framework for improving sustainability across the school community.

The actions identified are designed to encourage positive environmental behaviours, enhance learning opportunities, support biodiversity, reduce carbon emissions, and create a healthier environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Progress will be monitored regularly to celebrate successes, measure impact, and identify future opportunities for improvement. This plan should be viewed alongside the School Improvement Plan, of which this is an important part.

Our Sustainability Lead is Sylwia Wieliczko who would welcome input from external providers and organisations locally or nationally who wish to support the school's sustainability plan.
