School Closure Update 06.05.20
An update to our information related to school closure including the school's remote learning offer.
Over the last few weeks we have been working hard to improve our remote learning offer and increase opportunities to deliver some live learning. Following a number of successful tests, we are pleased to announce that we are now set up with a system called Firefly, which will soon host our daily homework tasks and provide opportunities for pupils to join in live with activities. Thank you to those parents and pupils who have helped with these tests.
To introduce you to these systems and establish some house rules for live learning, we would like to invite you and your child to an ‘assembly’ style online meeting next week.
These will take place on:
Year 11 and Year 10 – Monday 11th May at 11am
Year 7 and 8EA – Tuesday 12th May at 11am
8MJ and Year 9 – Wednesday 13th May at 11am
You will be contacted directly by tutors to discuss further on Wednesday, or you can email firstname.lastname@example.org for support. The letter sent to parents is included below.
The school's Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy Annex was updated to reflect these changes on 05.05.20. Please view this below.
Additionally, Woodlane staff have put together a video message for you all! We hope you enjoy it. Click here to view it.
