Sounds Like Hammersmith & Fulham

I am writing to inform you of an exciting opportunity for your child to take part in extra Music sessions at Woodlane. In addition to KS3’s music lessons on a Monday, the school will now be hosting Sounds Like Hammersmith & Fulham sessions at lunchtimes on Mondays too, starting on Monday 3rd October.

Sounds Like Hammersmith & Fulham is a six-week project focused on growing the skills, knowledge and experiences of music for children who live or go to school in H&F. It is being delivered by experienced SEND music teachers from the Tri-borough Music Hub and all sessions will also be supported by Woodlane staff. The programme is completely free for any pupils who wish to attend.

It is an ambitious music programme that focuses on three genres: music production and technology, hip-hop and rap, and song writing. The Tri-borough Music Hub has created bespoke programmes to support music making, self-expression, creativity and culture which will within secondary schools. You can find out more about the project here: www.lbhf.gov.uk/arts-and-parks/sounds-hammersmith-fulham

All pupils are invited to take part. Sessions are taking place at lunchtimes to avoid pupils having to miss any other lessons. Pupils who want to take part should bring a packed lunch to eat during the session, or will be provided with one by school if they usually have a school lunch.

Please download and return the slip below to indicate that you are happy for your child to attend and please contact school if you wish to know more.
