E-Safety

Some important information in regards your child's safety when using the internet and social media.

The Christmas break this year is quite long, and we know many pupils will want to stay in touch with each other. Much of this communication will take place through social media, and will be through a mix of media, including text messaging, voice messaging, image sharing, and video sharing.  Pupils will likely be accessing social media, gaming and using technology more regularly than they do during their school week.

We hosted an E-Safety session on 15/12/21 which focused on support for parents around this key issue. If you were unable to attend this session, please download the presentation below.

We would really recommend watching the videos shown during the presentation. This included The Top Internet Safety Tips Every Parent Needs to Know - YouTube which has a number of useful tips regarding settings within social media apps and how to identify inappropriate content or dangerous apps/situations before they cause harm.

As always, please contact school if you want to discuss anything in relation to E-Safety.
